I installed the Bump app on my iPhone about a week ago, and I'm eager to use it.
You might know it as the 1 billionth app downloaded from the iTunes App Store.
Here's how to use it: You launch the app on your iPhone or iPod Touch, as does the person with whom you're going to exchange information. You both grip your phones with one hand -- thumbs on one side, remaining four fingers on the other -- and then you gently bump hands. And voilà. The information you exchanged -- let's say it's your picture, e-mail and phone number -- is saved to each phone's contacts after you confirm the exchange. App developer Bump Technologies Inc. says it will be available on other devices "soon."
